Last week I put in some small lavender and thyme plants as companions, in the shade of the plum hedgerow:

Inherited an unwanted rhubarb plant that someone was going to put on the compost heap! I have also been rescuing a lot of unloved onions from there too and they were fine to eat and absolutely massive. The rhubarb plant was given to me and delivered in a wheel barrow, people are so kind and encouraging and helpful on the allotment, I love that community. A different gardener had given me a bunch of fresh, ready grown rhubarb recently, and it is so zingy, I love it.
